Introduction
India Space Academy is an academic institution operating under the Department of Space Education of India Space Week. India Space Week is an autonomous body supported by both central and state governments, with a mission to promote space education and employment among students, teachers, and research scholars across schools, colleges, universities, and institutions. The Academy designs and delivers workshops aligned with current industry requirements and develops programs that provide students with essential knowledge, practical skills, research exposure, and professional training to prepare them for future opportunities.
The Hands-On Google Earth Engine for Simplified Satellite Data Analysis is a two-hour online training program designed for students, researchers, and professionals. The workshop integrates theoretical concepts, GIS techniques, live software demonstrations, and hands-on practice using Google Earth Engine (GEE). It focuses on geospatial data analysis, satellite imagery processing, and real-world applications of remote sensing, with the objective of strengthening participants’ practical skills and understanding of modern geospatial technologies.
